THE PHONES: All models
feature the same thin, floating design, two
position angle adjustment
for effortless viewing, and built-in wall mounting. The 22-Button
Display offers a large 3-line-by-24-character display, four interactive
soft keys, and a built-in speakerphone. The 34-Button Display is
enhanced with a backlit display and illuminated dial pad (for improved
low light viewing), as well as additional
feature keys.
THE BASIC SYSTEM: The initial configuration starts at 4 incoming lines X 8 digital station ports X 2 analog station ports with the capability to expand to 6 incoming line X 24 digital station ports X 18 analog station ports This DSX is a great phone system for small businesses that doesn't need voice mail but need answering machine capability.
MEDIUM SYSTEM: System hardware bundles start with 4 incoming lines X 4 digital stations, to 8 incoming lines X 8 digital stations. All NEC DSX phone system bundles support a 16 port digital station card. This means that your new NEC phone system has the capability to grow to 16 digital stations with the addition of a cable and a telephone.
LARGE SYSTEM: With a maximum growth of 108 ports your new NEC 8 slot system can grow to either 24 lines in X 80 digital stations, 32 lines in X 64 digital stations, or 8 lines in X 96 digital stations. This system can grow as your business grows.
IntraMail is truly an integrated system. It installs inside the common equipment saving wall space and AC connection requirements. Station ports aren’t required so it doesn’t reduce system capacity. Interactive "Soft" key prompts on Display Phones help users handle their messages. A flashing message lamp lets a user know that the IntraMail has a message for them. IntraMail also provides Auto Attendant, Multiple Greetings, Flexible Answer Schedules, Fax Detection, Answering Machine Emulation, Conversation Record and many popular voice mail features.

If you hear static on your phone and you don't know if it's the phone or the line-here is a quick way to determine where the problem lies:
Get a second phone that you are sure is working correctly, hook that phone up to the line in question, if the phone still has the static it is the line, if the phone is clear simply replace the phone.
